An enigmatic picture, belonging to a 700-year-old monastery in the Romanian city of Sighisoara, has been giving a lot of talk for some time all over the world.
The reason for the controversy is that in the painting, which would belong to "Vlad Tepes" (bloodthirst earl that gave rise to the legend of the vampire Dracula), a UFO appears that seems to float on a Church.
The image was discovered a couple of years ago by a tourist who took a photograph, and in it is observed a large disk that floats on a church in flames.
It is believed that Sighisoara is the city where Vlad Tepes lived (also known as "Vlad the Impaler" and "Vlad Dracula"), who was born in 1431, not long after the monastery where the painting appears.
For some ufologists like Gilli Schechter and Hannan Sabat, what is seen above the church of the Convent of the Dominicans in Sighisoara represents a flying disc, the object that is similar to others that have appeared in other works of art of the medieval time.
However, experts still do not know the year of the creation of the painting, since there is a biblical quote in German underneath it, suggesting that the work was created not before 1523, the first year in which Bible was translated into German.
The questions that arise then are: Was it made during the life of Vlad Dracula or almost a century later? Is there any relationship between the famous warlord and the aliens?
Experts on the UFO theme are still gathering background to get more information on the intriguing painting that links to Dracula.
